Since 2003, Patrick has been the Executive Director of DTP (www.dtp.unsw.edu.au) - an NGO affiliated with the Faculty of Law at UNSW, Sydney. Patrick has over two decades experience of working with others to defend and advance human rights.  Working with Amnesty International, Patrick campaigned on human rights violations across the world and was invited to produce the movements' first international manual on campaigning. At the Human Rights Council of Australia, Patrick was involved in developing and promoting the adoption of the human rights based approach to development by the UN and international development agencies, and in the organisation and hosting of the first international conference on Sport and Human Rights in 1999.  At DTP, Patrick has delivered over 100 human rights advocacy capacity building programs and developed new thematic programs for civil society on Business and Human Rights, the Rights of Migrant Workers and the Rights of Indigenous peoples.
